Dead hammerhead shark found on Palm Beach coast

A dead 10-foot hammerhead shark was found on the beach Sunday morning in the area of Dunbar Road.
According to reports, the shark carcass was spotted at 8:53 a.m. Public Works employees were called to pick up the animal and were assisted by two employees of The Breakers in getting it off the unguarded beach and into a town truck.
It was taken to the Solid Waste Authority Monday for disposal.
