You Know You're In 2006 When...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.

7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.
8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.
11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )
12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
13. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
14. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

It's all about me!
Well,
I thought I would get some suff of my mind!
Here lately I have been so sad. Crying all most every nite. I have a lot going on in my life for starter's my father had to have his leg cut off and its been 3 days now and he still is on a ventlator to help him breath.
I shouldn't be mad at him but I am because if a couple of year's ago he would have put down the beer can and taken his meddicen everyday like he was told to do then maybe he wouldn't be in the shape he is in.
Also i have been back home with my family for a month now and thangs have changed so much! My mother drinks at least a 12 pack of bush beer evry nite i on the other hand am sober and drug free so i am hateing the way she acts everyday!
I have been with my childern's father off and on for about 7yrs we have been split up for about 6months now i was away from him for 3months and we only talked on the phone he told me when i came home we would be togather well i came back home and he said a differnt story well tonite we had a long talk and hopefully we will be geting back togeather for us this time not just for the kids i am feeling like i love him more now than be4 am i crazy?

dad
I tried so hard to be patience with you. I tried telling myself "I miss him so much" and " Don't worry, I'm sure he does too. "But it doesn't help at all withall the pain. But i was saved daddy, I allowed God in myheart, but you don't care that I'm not the same.God talks to me and tells me not to give up on you, cause you'll come around. But how is 2 years for you to come and putting me down?Daddy, God has opened my eyes, and exposed reality on the world. He told me no matter what "You're Daddy'sLittle Girl I hope God will one day open your eyes, and show you the world. I hope God shows you,the pain you cause to your little girl.I was taught to not be afraid, and have no fear. When you fall down get back up, and keep going your time is almost here. I will still love you daddy

A Good Bye Kiss
The Board Meeting had come to an end. Bob started to stand up and jostled the table, spilling his coffee over his notes. "How embarrassing. I am getting so clumsy in my old age."
Everyone had a good laugh, and soon we were all telling stories of our most embarrassing moments. It came around to Frank who sat quietly listening to the others. Someone said, "Come on, Frank. Tell us your most embarrassing moment."
Frank began, "I grew up in San Pedro. My Dad was a fisherman, and he loved the sea. He had his own boat, but it was hard making a living on the sea. He worked hard and would stay out until he caught enough to feed the family. Not just enough for our family, but also for his Mom and Dad and the other kids that were still at home." He looked at us and said, "I wish you could have met my Dad. He was a big man, and he was strong from pulling the nets and fighting the seas for his catch. When you got close to him, he smelled like the ocean. He would wear his old canvas, foul-weather coat and his bib overalls. His rain hat would be pulled down over his brow. No matter how much my Mother washed them, they would still smell of the sea and of fish."
Frankie voice dropped a bit. "When the weather was bad he would drive me to school. He had this old truck that he used in his fishing business. That truck was older than he was. It would wheeze and rattle down the road. You could hear it coming for blocks. As he would drive toward the school, I would shrink down into the seat hoping to disappear. Half the time, he would slam to a stop and the old truck would belch a cloud of smoke. He would pull right up in front, and it seemed like everybody would be standing around and watching. Then he would lean over and give me a big kiss on the cheek and tell me to be a good boy. It was so embarrassing for me. Here I was twelve years old, and my Dad would lean over and kiss me good-bye!"
He paused and then went on, "I remember the day I decided I was too old for a good-bye kiss. When we got to the school and came to a stop, he had his usual big smile. He started to lean toward me, but I put my hand up and said, 'No, Dad.' It was the first time I had ever talked to him that way, and he had this surprised look on his face.
I said, 'Dad, I'm too old for a good-bye kiss. I'm too old for any kind of kiss.' My Dad looked at me for the longest time, and his eyes started to tear up. I had never seen him cry. He turned and looked out the windshield. 'You're right,' he said. 'You are a big boy....A man. I won't kiss you anymore."
Frank got a funny look on his face, and the tears began to well up in his eyes. "It wasn't long after that when my Dad went to sea and never came back. It was a day when most of the fleet stayed in, but not Dad. He had a big family to feed. They found his boat adrift with its nets half in and half out. He must have gotten into a gale and was trying to save the nets and the floats."
I looked at Frank and saw that tears were running down his cheeks. Frank spoke again. "Guys, you don't know what I would give to have my Dad give me just one more kiss on the cheek....To feel his rough old face....To smell the ocean on him....To feel his arm around my neck. I wish I had been a man then. If I had been a man, I would never have told my Dad I was too old for a good-bye kiss." --- Thomas Charles Clara

The Power of Worrying
Death was walking toward a city one morning and a man asked, "What are you going to do?"
''I'm going to take 100 people." Death replied.
"That's horrible!" the man said.
"That's the way it is." Death said.
''Well, we'll see about that," said the man as he hurried to warn everyone he could about Death's plan.
As evening fell, he met Death again.
"You told me you were going to take 100 people," the man said. "Why did 1,000 die?"
"I kept my word," Death responded. "I only took 100 people. Worry took the others."
This interesting tale portrays so well what the National Mental Health Committee reported a few years ago -- Half of all the people in America's hospital beds are constant worriers. Mental distress can lead to migraine headaches, arthritis, heart trouble, cystitis, colitis, backaches, ulcers, depression, digestive disorders and yes, even death. Add to that list the mental fatigue of nights without sleep and days without peace, and then we get a glimpse of the havoc worry plays in destroying the quality and quantity of life.
Release the regrets of yesterday, refuse the fears of tomorrow and receive instead, the peace of today. Yes, my friend, simply let go and let God. Live this, and be eternally blessed. (Author Unknown)

No One Can Take Your Place Darling, seems like all I ever do, Are having wonderful dreams of loving you. In my dreams, I see your beautiful face Honey, no one can take your place… You’ve touched my life in so many ways, As long as I have you; they’ll be no lonely days. I can't kid my self
I love you but I shouldn't. I'd tell you but I couldn't. I'm the only one who will ever know. So on with my life I'll try to go. I'll try to ignore the sick feeling I get when you're away. And not to hang on every word I hear you say. No longer will I let your smile melt me to the core. When your eyes meet mine, I won't blush anymore. Each minute that passes I won't think of you. The feeling of true love I'll forget I knew. Then again, who am I kidding? You're my true reason for living. My heart for now I must foresake And with every glance my heart will break
